Requiem: The Mark of Fire

In the Holy Land, in the thirteenth century, a baby was found in the midst of a burning church. On the palm of his right hand, the fire had etched a clear and unmistakable mark: the shape of a crucifix.

A Catholic bishop chooses to adopt the child and raise him within a monastery, consecrating him to the sacred life and preparing him for the priesthood. But fate seems to have other plans for him.

Áscalon, as the infant is named, soon begins to manifest extraordinary gifts that mortals can only dream of. Yet every power he discovers brings terrifying consequences for himself and for all those around him.

Requiem: The Mark of Fire is the first part of a dark fantasy myth set in the real world during the so-called Dark Ages. And, in the words of the author, it is a somber tale filled with blood and tears.
